There are better manga(s?) out there but only one spawned three series from three different countries. You all know what I am talking about. You probably even been hit by the "fever".
Meteor Garden (Taiwan)
Oh, baby, baby, baby... HAHA The series that started it all. In this one, F4 is not only a band of overbearing spoiled rich brats but a boy band as well.
Hana Yori Dango (Japan)
I don't know how the story in the series stuck with the original manga but nonetheless it felt the most authentic. Makino, Doumyouji, Rui and the rest of the cast had the Japanese touch.
Boys Over Flowers (South Korea)
All I can say is that they are cuter boys with the exception of Kim Hyun-joong who plays Jin Ho. I love Shun Oguri too much. HAHA
Found this one, too.
After watching all three series and looking at these photos, it really makes me wonder how the Filipino version will do. I am highly doubtful.
Note to ABS-CBN or other networks who want to do a remake: There are differences among the three series but there are things that should be left untouched. Dao Ming Si/Doumyouji Tsukasa/Gu Jun Pyo all have curly hair. The name Shan Cai/Tsukushi/Jan Di all mean weed or grass in their respective languages. I don't know Filipino guy who looks good when curly and how the hell are you going to name the female lead?! Damo? Grassilda? HAHAHA

TV/Movies/Music | 4 hollered back
It's three weeks before enrollment and I'm still in front of a PC alternating between finishing SEC registration papers, watching episodes of Boys Over Flowers and Facebook, the same things I was doing before we left for vacation. How sad!
I can't wait for this school year. I'm actually looking forward to it as it will be my last... I hope.
I've been having the blues lately. Sometimes, the mean reds even. But I'm trying hard not to think and mope about it. Life is too good to be spent wallowing in self pity.
Anyways, update on the I-hate-babies! mode I've been in for quite some time. I still hate them except Zoey. Babies are all cute. There's just variations of cuteness but Zoey IS cute. Enough said.
If I won't check Friendster for more than a month or so, will they automatically delete my account?! I really won't mind if they do.
I love peanut butter!

The manga I ordered just arrived! Volumes 17-23 of Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya.
Huge thanks to Jo and Rizza of Eiwa Manga Store for the Chuang Yi order.
I can finally finish reading Fruits Basket!!! I can't wait.
Sheesh! I need to finish The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya first.
Yikes! I still have another set of ordered books to pick-up from the ADZU OPS. Six books from the Clique series by Lisi Harrison from Carmel of Hooked On Books.

It saddens me how familiar those words are. I hate goodbyes. I hate any sense of finality, that something is over.
But it's time to let go.
I have to.
For my own sake.
Goodbye.

"It's bullshit to think of friendship and romance as being different. They're not. They're just variations of the same love. Variations of the same desire to be close."
The thing that I value most in life is friendship. I've met a lot of friends in the past 21 years. The closest ones can be categorized by each school I've attended. There are Pilot friends, National High friends and Ateneo friends. Most of them I've grown attached to and miss all the time.
When I gain friendships, I fall, nay, plummet in it just like what falling in love means to other people. Being with friends make me happy. The truth is, it is the only happiness I know and am sure of.
If friendship is like love, you can also fall out of it but like love, there's always a choice. I'm quite glad that despite some misunderstandings, I've never really broken a friendship. I forgive easily. Friendships are too precious for pride.
"It is not easy. Things that matter are not easy. Feelings of happiness are easy. Happiness is not. Flirting is easy. Love is not. Saying you’re friends is easy. Being friends is not."
Why am I writing this?
Well, most of my friends went off to Manila for CPA Board Review and I really couldn't imagine going to school this coming semester without them. It's weird and sad to think of an Ateneo without the Bears.
But, as I've told to them in response to their messages of missing those of us who are left behind: that's life. We will see each other soon. It's just 6 months. Good luck and God bless!
Friends are not permanent but friendships are. I will miss them terribly but life must go on.
"Friendship is love as much as any romance. And like any love, it’s difficult and treacherous and confusing. But in the moment when your knees touch, there’s nothing else you could ever want."
